Shahin Motia is a Deputy Executive Director for DigiDems, overseeing the Security Program. Founded in 2019, the program works closely with security experts at the Democratic committees and other aligned organizations to foster consensus around campaign cybersecurity best practices, and offers elected officials, candidates, and campaigns a variety of security engagements to help secure their personal and campaign data from the most likely cyber threats.

Shahin came to DigiDems in 2018—first serving as an embedded technologist on a California congressional campaign—with more than 10 years of IT network administration and security experience. He studied economics and ethnical & political philosophy at Brown University.

He is based in New York City.
